Hi all,
I am a newbie and have not been to the dragstrip for nearly 6 years. I have a bone stock 1988 SD CHP Coupe. It is my daily driver, but I want to run low 13's with bolt-ons, practice, and luck.
Engine bolt-ons:
Mark 8 electric fan- need
Shortie CA smog legal- need
stock H pipe- have
Flowmasters- have
K&N filter w/no airbox- have
Short belt no A/C for track only- need
Suspension:
Megabite Jr lower control arm- have
HP Performance adjustable upper control arms- have
Strange 10way adjustable struts/shocks- have
4cyl springs in front- need
50/50 springs in back- need
Will borrow some drag radials, but eventually want weld skinnies and slickes for track only.
What do you folks think. Will this be a good double duty vehicle?????? I was hoping with practice, slicks, and suspension I could get the 1.6 60ft times and a low 13. Then upon leaving the track adjust the struts/shocks, put my stock A/C belt back on, and the stock Pony rims and go home with a very street worthy car.
Comments or suggestion??????????????
