Drivability issue, car seems lean...

... red with heat before the engine reaches operating temp. The engine also runs very rough and will not rev up past what I suspect is about 2,500 rpm. I say suspect because the tachometer reads only intermittently and is reading very low. The other gauges besides the temp gauge seem to be working ...

Re: new member couple SD questions

... to do the twisted wedge heads, pretty much everything on the trick flow top end kit besides the cam,and intake since I already have the edelbrock rpm, I would get a Sd friendly cam in its place, how do you think it should run, also what kind of power should it make, thanks

Re: New Injectors and correct pressure

... tires right now. Took it on a test run on a local mountain trail and it's running great except for a ocassional stumble while shifting around 2800 rpm. Engine seems happy at cruising speed os 3000 rpm on pavement and runs smooth and strong. Will get back to you on thr ecu code

Combo is: 86 notch, stock short block, Performer RPM intake, 70mm or 75mm tb (can't remember at the moment), stock 19lb injectors, 3.73's, t-5, I'll have to buy new rockers, 1.6's or 1.7's if they'll ...

Re: Are 30lb injectors too much?

I got to thinking, if the injectors were too big it would run bad at idle and get better when accelerating since higher rpm would be their realm of happiness. The maf sensor looks stock, is it supposed to be tuned to your injector size, and is it adjustable? One of those Ford fuel ...

Re: Are 30lb injectors too much?

I haven't had time to get into it much, but I've looked around on it and it has a 70mm throttle body, Edelbrock Performer rpm intake, headers, FM's. How is it that 30lb injectors wouldn't be too much? Does the fuel injection system pace the injectors to run at the proper mixture even ...

Re: Are 30lb injectors too much?

... put 30lb injectors in it anticipating putting in a supercharger, which didn't materialize. So basically all I see on it is an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, BBK shorty headers. It sounds like it has somewhat of a lope to it, not your stock sounding smooth idle. So... 1) what size are stock injectors, ...

Re: Timing in my Mustang was set to 24° !!

The SPout connector actually acts as a vacuum advance would on an older style setup. At higher RPM's the spout dial in more timing (up to 20* more than the initial setting) so at WOT a typical 5.0 with 14* timing with the spout connected will see about 34-36* of TOTAL ...
