I just put new headgaskets in.. With a set of 1.7 roller rockers and I broke a valve 3days later ..
What do u think caused this too happen? Weak springs maybe? The piston has a small grinded spot on
it .. What should I do .. Just replace that one valve or what :?:

I'm new here, but I thought maybe I'd post a question about something I'm working on. I built a hot hod with a 5.0 and SD from an '87 ford van a few years ago. I didn't like the looks of the upper intake even though I ran it like that ...

A-Pillar Gauge setup question

... have done. The 3 gauge pillar cover was one from LRS. It seems to be of good quality. Now I did use the old cover underneath the new one and maybe that was my mistake but it actually seemed to fit better with the old cover under the new one. Anyways, any input would be appriciated. Thanks

Re: Stroker build question with speed density

I think you should be ok once you do a little tuning.
I, personally, have run 24# on SD without an issue. 30# should be doable with an AFPR and maybe an IAB adjustment or two. I definately don't think I would go above 30# on the stock SD electronics (ie get a DFI setup or chip)

Re: Blown heater core again, help!

I've been wanting to get a nicer fox body copcar anyway, so maybe now is as good a time as any to sell it, now that it's warming up. Didn't know about the orifice in the heater core. Thanks for the input.

Re: Blown heater core again, help!

... the stock cooling system shouldn't be putting out much more than ~17 psi. You may want to check your rad cap if your pressure is high... maybe it is old or for the incorrect pressure range and thus not releasing... making your heater core function as your rad cap should be...ouch
