Adding a blower to a h/c/i sd car

Hello all! I have an '88 coupe with a fresh 306 (I told the builder I may add a blower later so it has 4 bolt mains, stud girdle, and an appropriate ring gap). It has the following mods: fenderwell K&N (with home-made tubing), 65mm throttle body, 67mm spacer, ...

Re: SD Cobra intake, throttle body, GT40P heads

The cobra intake is a direct swap using stock sensors etc. I would use a65mm tb.
The 86 heads do suck. The 86 has flat top pistons so piston to valve clearence may be a problem with the gt40p heads, You will need to do some research on this. I am not really certian if they will be a problem or not.

Re: track width

The only significant tract width differences amongst V8 Fox Mustangs have to do with wheel width. Rear axle width didn't change. Front track MAY have changed slightly when the spindles were changed after 1986, but I really don't think they did. Bottom line: you can use just about whatever ...

I'm new here, but I thought maybe I'd post a question about something I'm working on. I built a hot hod with a 5.0 and SD from an '87 ford van a few years ago. I didn't like the looks of the upper intake even though I ran it like that ...

Re: Engine Shutdown

... fuel pump or switch for the pump. He suppose to help me check it today and hopefully we can find this thing for sure. If it's the fuel pump that may take a while to get the tank off and get it changed, but if it needs that then it has to be done. I didn't think about the ignition switch; thanks ...

Re: whats the biggest cam i can run with stock ho short block?

... the rocker arm. If you can insert the gauge at 0.80 for the intake and 0.100 for the exhaust then you have enough piston to valve clearance. It may take you some trial and error before you can identify the prescise overlap period at which you need to check the clearances, but this is a good ...

Re: popping/clunking noise rearend

No I have yet to have a look at them. I have heard they are a pain to install. I Have noticed some kits that include the upper/lower arms with the bushings for around $175. That may be an idea. I'm going to have a look probably tomorrow and see if I can get a visual. Thanks for the reply

Re: TPS Adjustment

It's fairly generic and should work for most TPS equiped cars. You may want to double check the desired voltage for your year and model
