Re: SD Cobra intake, throttle body, GT40P heads

The cobra intake is a direct swap using stock sensors etc. I would use a65mm tb.
The 86 heads do suck. The 86 has flat top pistons so piston to valve clearence may be a problem with the gt40p heads, You will need to do some research on this. I am not really certian if they will be a problem or not.

Re: Cobra R 17x8 86GT??

No, I don't think you will. I have done 8 and 8 inch rear wheels on LX exhausts, and there's not been a problem. In fact, you should have about the same experience I had most recenly with my 88. It has 17x9 wheels with 5.95" backspacing, and no rubbing issues with 245/45 tires. I am not alo...

SD DA-1 tuning for 24lb inj

... using stock cam with 1.72s now. the dyno showed it was at 12/1 AF at wot, so they are hanging in, but at 100% DS i assume. I can also get a 93 Cobra ecu / maf setup for 24s for about same price as a chip for SD. But I would prefer to stay SD.

Re: 5.0 beginer mods

full exhaust, intake such as gt40,cobra,explorer style intakes.
you could do heads cam intake nitrous etc etc. The limits are endless really.

You can do alot to a 5.0 before you need a "tune" or chip etc.
